Lecturer on Prehistory in the Department of History, University of Santiago de Compostela. A specialist in Computational Archaeology, his research focuses on the application of spatial statistics and Geographic Information Systems to study ancient monumental landscapes. He has also conducted research in 3D modeling and digital imaging techniques to document rock art and Roman inscriptions.
He is involved with the open science frameworks. His work utilizes free software and programming code to facilitate scientific transparency.
He has carried out research stays at the University of Leiden and the University of Cambridge. Prior to his position as PhD assistant professor, he was a researcher in the Marie Sklodowska-Curie program at University College London , Institute of Archeology, an institution where he led the project "Comparative Models of Megalithic Landscapes in Neolithic Atlantic Europe (MegaScapes)" (MSCA-IF-EF-ST 2019; https://www.megascapesproject.com/ ).
Nowadays he coordinates the Inteuniversity Master in Archeology and Antic Scicnces. (USC, UdC, UVigo, Incipit-CSIC).
