Fernando Agrasar Quiroga is a senior lecturer in the department of Architectural Projects, Urban Planning and Composition at the Higher Technical School of Architecture of the University of A Coruña. He is coordinator of the GICAP research group, member of the technical committee of Docomomo Ibérico and corresponding academic of the Real Academia Galega de Belas Artes.
His research focuses on the study of Architecture as an artistic fact and its consideration as heritage, especially contemporary architecture and the interactions between architecture and landscape. This research coexists with his professional activity as an architect, focused on the rehabilitation, study and intervention of architectural heritage.
Recently he has taken part in projects as“Caracterización del Surrealismo Hispánico. Recuperación, digitalización y edición de las revistas Surrealistas de México, Perú y República Dominicana” (FFI2016-75110-P), funded by the Ministerio de Economía e Competitividade; & “Proxecto de rehabilitación das cortes do Pazo de Lóngora como biblioteca do CEIDA”.
