Damián Copena is a lecturer member in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Santiago de Compostela. The researcher is attached to the Faculty of Business Administration and Management of the Campus Terra de Lugo, and is a member of the Research Group in Studies of Business and Sectoral History. Fishing, Industry and Commerce (GESPIC).
His main lines of research are related to the rural world and agrarian history. Among the areas of research, the historical analysis of rural industrial enterprises, especially those linked to the beekeeping sector, agricultural training, community properties and collective action in the management of natural resources and the analysis of the impacts derived from renewable energies and energy transition processes in the rural world stand out.
