Ana Isabel García Arias

Ana Isabel García Arias is a senior lecturer in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Santiago de Compostela, where she carries out her research in the fields of economics, sociology and agricultural policy. She is part of the research group: Grupo de Economía Agroalimentaria & Medioambiental, Desenvolvemento Rural & Economía Social (ECOAGRASOC). She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association of Agricultural Economics since 2018. She is also a member of the Sustainability Commission of the Galician Agri-Food Sector Cluster (CLUSAGA) since 2020.

Her main lines of research are related to the processes of agricultural change and the evaluation of environmental policies in agriculture.

She is currently involved in projects financed by both national and international funds:
