The Physical Geography Working Group of the Spanish Association of Geography (AGE) and the Department of Geography at USC, with the collaboration of CISPAC, are organizing the 38th Field Conference on Physical Geography from June 2 to 6.
These field days are aimed at professionals, researchers, students, and AGE members interested in exploring the Galician territory from a geographical and environmental perspective. In addition to its scientific value, the event also has a strong educational component, highlighting the formative potential of field trips in university education.
The program includes four field trips to areas of high geomorphological and ecological value, such as the Areoso islet, the A Brava marsh in Arousa Island, the peat bogs of the Serra do Xistral, the Cabo Ortegal Geopark, the coastal sector of Lariño, and the intertidal system of Carnota. These visits will allow for the analysis of topics such as the origin and dynamics of the terrain, geodiversity, and the conservation status of natural habitats.
