The Barbanza Ecosocial Laboratory obtains the Aid for the Promotion of the Forestry Bioeconomy from the Biodiversity Foundation

The final resolution of the Forest Bioeconomy call of the Biodiversidad Foundation, which selected the Barbanza Ecosocial Laboratory project in a competitive competition regime, has been published.

Of the 144 projects presented, 56 will receive the subsidy. The Laboratory was 16th in the list of those admitted, with a total of 75 points and guaranteeing the award of €1,899,863.38.

The project is entitled: “Laboratorio Ecosocial do Barbanza: a living laboratory for multifunctional management and collective custody of the territory”, and has the collaboration of the Rede de Innovación Arousa Foundation (RÍA), the University of Santiago de Compostela, the Universidad Pablo de Olavide, the Platform for the Defense of the Monte, the Montescola Foundation and the Council of Rianxo.

Several CISPAC researchers are part of the Barbanza Ecosocial Laboratory, assuming the scientific direction of the project and being members of its Advisory Board .
