The CISPAC publishes today, July 29, 2024, the bases of the Xan de Forcados program by which three postdoctoral research grants are called for members of the CISPAC, within the framework of the USC Support Program for centers and institutes in the process of registration and accreditation autonomic This denomination seeks to honor Don Xoán López Suárez (1880-1970), promoter of JAE activities in Galicia and also of the Misión Biolóxica de Galicia, among other centers. Below we will explain, for informational purposes only, the main keys to this call.

The purpose of the call is to support three collaborative research projects assigned to at least two of the three Galician public universities (USC, UdC and UVigo) and two of the five CISPAC research fields (Populated Landscapes, Productive Landscapes, Governed Landscapes, Heritage Landscapes and Visited Landscapes). These grants will be awarded on a competitive basis, with a maximum of €4,000 per project . They must be developed in the year 2024. The expenses must be justified until October 31, although the research tasks may extend until November 20.

To be a beneficiary, you must be a “non-permanent” CISPAC postdoctoral researcher or a “collaborating” researcher . Each candidate will be assessed on 10 points as follows: the CV, which includes publications, awards and training related to the aid, will count for 30%; the research project will make up another 30% of the grade; and finally, the collaborative value of the project and its ability to generate synergies within the framework of CISPAC, will represent the remaining 40% of the score.

Applications will be sent to cispac.direccion@usc.gal and accompanied by the reduced standardized CV (maximum 4 pages), the project report, which includes the budget (maximum 5 pages) and a letter of motivation (maximum 1 page). In addition, when submitting the application, a responsible declaration must be signed confirming the veracity of the documents. The deadline for submission of applications will begin the day after the publication on the CISPAC website and will end 15 calendar days from the day after its publication.

The Management of the Center in view of the report of the Selection Commission, will formulate the proposed resolution that will be published on the CISPAC website in the first week of September 2024, in addition to informing by email the beneficiaries, as well as the projects that were denied.
