By agreement of the Consello Reitor (Governing Council) held on June 9, 2025, and upon proposal from the Scientific Committee of the Interuniversity Centre for Research on Atlantic Landscapes and Cultures (CISPAC), it has been decided to keep permanently open the call for expressions of interest to become affiliated research staff at CISPAC.
These are the terms of affiliation:
Eligible candidates
This call is primarily aimed at newly hired researchers with fewer than 5 years of affiliation with universities within the Galician University System (SUG) (such as through Beatriz Galindo, Ramón y Cajal, etc.), postdoctoral researchers hired through competitive HR programs, and assistant professors.
Permanent faculty members who did not apply in previous calls may also apply; in such cases, the evaluation process will take place semi-annually in June and December.
It is intended to incorporate research staff with proven scientific experience, capable of boosting and improving the center’s capabilities and giving coherence to its programs. Applicants should highlight their experience in collaborative research projects or networks related to the main areas of CISPAC’s scientific agenda, particularly in the fields of social sciences and humanities. Exceptionally, researchers from other major academic areas will also be considered if they can demonstrate previous, solid experience in collaborative networks and projects aligned with CISPAC’s fields of specialization.
In evaluating research careers over the past 10 years, the following will be considered: the relevance of scientific output, leadership and participation in competitive projects, transfer contracts and activities, supervision of doctoral theses, research and transfer accreditation (e.g., national evaluation scores), as well as other academic merits (conferences, participation in scientific and editorial committees, etc.).
Evaluation and selection process
The evaluation process will be carried out by the CISPAC Consello Asesor Científico Externo (External Scientific Advisory Board). The formal appointment as linked research staff of the candidates who meet the indicated criteria of excellence will be approved by the Governing Council of CISPAC, through the signing of a formal commitment to the strategic objectives and organizational policy of the center, without in any case conflicting with the own regulations of the university to which each linked member belongs.
Submission of linkage requests. Form and CV.
The request must be sent to cispac.direccion@usc.es in pdf format, using the forms (Annex 1); accompanied by the CVA of the last 10 years following the attached model (Annex 2) or the EUROPASS CV
