The 1st Conference on Humanist Research and Dialogue will take place on 15 and 16 October at the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Santiago de Compostela. The event aims to provide early-career researchers with a space in which to present their work and research interests, encourage exchange between disciplines and promote multidisciplinary approaches within the Humanities.
The call for papers is open to doctoral students enrolled in programmes related to history, geography, art history, philosophy, linguistics, literature, cultural studies, heritage, classical studies and medieval studies, among others. Presentations may be delivered in Galician, Spanish or English and will last a maximum of fifteen minutes. Proposals for thematic panels may also be submitted.
Those interested should submit an abstract of up to 400 words, including a title, four or five keywords, their name and academic affiliation, where applicable. Proposals must be sent in PDF format to xornadasinv.edlgo.humanista@gmail.com by 30 July. Both participation and attendance are free of charge, and certificates will be provided.
The conference is organised by Carolina Sobrado Bernárdez, a researcher affiliated with CISPAC and GEPN-AAT, and Julián García Peteiro, from the Doctoral Programme in Medieval Studies and the SINCRISIS research group. The scientific committee is made up of researchers from different areas of the Humanities, including Edgard Camarós, Xosé Manuel Sánchez, Dolores Barral Ribadulla, Horacio García García, David Chao, Antonio Míguez Macho, Esther Corral, Ana Suárez and Xavier de Donato.
