Heritage landscapes

Urban landscape Heritage landscapes

Heritage is an interdisciplinary area of study. Neither it nor landscape have academic ‘proprietors’ and multiple disciplines can be useful for understanding them. The epistemic problem with studying heritage and landscape consists in defining agendas and problems that require answers derived from the convergence of various disciplines. The resulting academic work and knowledge are useful for defining actions aimed at identifying, preserving or restoring buildings, goods or anthropized landscapes. Such work also reinforces identities and knowledge transfer to society.
