Advisory Bodies

These external bodies work as advisors to CISPAC's scientific management for evaluation and to stimulate the continuous improvement of the Centre. Among their functions are the assessment and issuing of mandatory reports related to the Centre’s R&D productivity every four years, the initial and periodic evaluation of associated researchers, as well as the review of CISPAC's research excellence model to guarantee its international positioning and future sustainability.

The External Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) is a consultative body made up of a maximum of seven researchers with scientific profiles in human and social sciences and in the fields of the scientific agenda, who are also international experts in operational management and evaluation of research entities

SAB members:

  • Agustín Azkárate Garai-Olaun. Professor of Archaeology at the University of the Basque Country.
  • Primitiva Bueno Ramírez. Professor of Prehistory at the University of Alcalá de Henares.
  • Manuel González de Molina Navarro. Professor of Contemporary History at the Universidade Pablo de Olavide, Seville.
  • Rafael Mata Olmo. Professor of Regional Analysis in the Department of Geography at the Universidade Autónoma de Madrid.
  • Dolores Puga González. Scientist at the Instituto de Economía, Geografía y Demografía, CSIC.
  • Nancy L. Peluso. Henry J. Vaux Distinguished Professor of Forest Policy at the University of California, Berkeley.
  • Enric Tello Aragay. Professor of Economic History at the University of Barcelona.

The Transfer Council is an external advisory body, made up of representatives of public and private institutions, organisations and foundations from the socio-economic environment and whose fields of action match with CISPAC’s scientific agenda. Amongst its roles, the most important is the search for the social profitability of the activities carried out at CISPAC in order to achieve a productive return in the territory oriented towards civil society and to encourage and promote transfer actions, as well as to promote the economic sustainability of the Centre.
