Next Wednesday, April 24, Histagra is organizing a new seminar at the CISPAC facilities. It will be specifically in Seminar 103 at 12:30 pm.

This time the speaker will be Poonam Pandey, researcher María Zambrano and Principal Researcher at the Post-growth Innovation Laboratory at UVigo. His presentation is entitled "Merece a pena repetir algunhas historias? A política e a práctica de levar a Revolución Verde ao este da India".

From February 29 to May 17 you can visit the exhibition 'ConCiencia duna tradición. Olaría de Mondoñedo, Bonxe, Samos e Gundivós' at 'Vello Cárcere' of Lugo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. In parallel to the exhibition, several complementary activities will be developed: specifically, four conferences and three free cooking sessions in various production centers.

The conferences will take place at 'Vello Cárcere' of Lugo on April 11, 18, 25 and May 10 in the afternoon. The cooking, which will also feature a performance by the Cegas de Ouselle, will take place throughout the day: March 30 (Bonxe), April 20 (Samos) and May 11 (Gundivós).

On March 20, the exhibition 'As mulleres e o mar. O traballo feminino nas industrias marítimas de Galicia. Séculos XIX e XX' was presented in the Claustro Alto do Colexio de Fonseca. This exhibition is curated by Luisa Muñoz Abeledo, CISPAC researcher and director of the Juana de Vega Chair.

The exhibition will be available at the Pazo de Fonseca until April 9, with open and free visiting hours between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and between 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Where we are

CISPAC facilities are located in the Fontan building, the most recent addition to the Ciudad de la Cultura de Galicia (City of Galician Culture) complex. The building was inaugurated in October 2021 and houses other institutes such as the Consorcio Interuniversitario de Galicia (Galician Interuniversity Consortium) or the Agencia para la Calidad del Sistema Universitario (Agency for the Quality of the University System).

With 2,559 m2 of floorspace and room for up to 73 university researchers, CISPAC helps to consolidatethe Ciudad de la Cultura, a cultural macro-facility that generates 24 million euros in annual revenue from culturaland knowledge-intensive activities, including social entrepreneurship.
